2. Jacques Kallis
Jacques Kallis was born on October 16, 1975. He is a former South African cricketer and currently coaches the Kolkata Knight Riders. Kallis, as a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium swing bowler, is regarded as one of the most respected cricketer. Some would even say he is the best. As of 2013, Kallis was the only player in the history of crickets who has score more than 10,000 runs and had taken 250 wickets in both one-day and Test match cricket.
Because of his continuous effort, he became the fourth cricket player and first South African to score 13,000 Test runs on a memorable opening day of the first Test against New Zealand on January 2, 2013. Kallis had also taken 292 Test wickets; he was the ranked third on the list of all-time cricket scorer after Indian player Sachin Tendulkar scored 15,921 (first position) and Australian Ricky had 13,378 (second position).
Kallis, who was named one of the Wisden cricketers of the year in 2013 retired from Test and first-class cricket after he had played in the second Test against India at Durban in December 2013.
After he scored his 45th Test hundred in this match, which made him one of the few batsmen who had scored a century in final Test, he retired from all form of international cricket functions on July 30, 2014.
