Damelin’s private higher education registration has been cancelled. The DHET register updated on 12 August 2026 records cancellation effective 27 January 2026 and a deadline of 31 December 2026 for phasing out pipeline students. A cancellation notice was published in Government Gazette 54218 on 27 February 2026. This article’s older application information must not be taken as confirmation that Damelin may accept new higher education students.

Damelin previously offered career-focused private higher education programmes. Check the current legal status of the institution and the specific qualification before relying on earlier advertising.

The programme and study-mode lists below are historical descriptions, rather than confirmation that new enrolment is permitted.

Existing students should obtain written guidance on the approved phase-out or transfer arrangements and retain their academic records. New applicants should verify the current DHET register and any later official determination before applying or paying.

How to apply

Damelin previously advertised online and campus application routes. Given the recorded cancellation, the historical routes below should not be used as evidence that new higher education applications are authorised.

1.    Online application: Before using any application form, verify the provider’s current registration and approved qualification with DHET. An active website alone is not evidence of permission to enrol new higher education students.

• To apply online, go to the Damelin College website www.damelin.co.za and click ‘apply now’ to access the application form.
• Follow the instructions and enter all details as well as all the relevant information in the required fields.

*Important: Keep copies of your application, receipts, correspondence and academic records. Ask DHET and the institution for written guidance if you are affected by the cancellation or phase-out.

• Once you have completed filling in your application form, click ‘enrol now’ on the next webpage.

2.    Hard Copy application: Contact DHET about the cancellation and the approved arrangements for existing students before visiting a campus or submitting a new application.

• Visit your nearest Damelin College campus to get an application form.

*Whilst filling in your application, make sure that you have all of the required documentation with you at hand.

The old R550, R1,100 and R1,000 figures are not verified current registration fees. Do not treat them as a quotation or pay a new higher education registration fee on the strength of this article.
