How to Register at UJ 2026
Complete every required registration step and confirm that the university has recorded your registration successfully.
Open https://ulink.uj.ac.za/ and sign in using your UJ student number and password. Use only the registration link provided by UJ.
Click on the classes tab and my registration on the IT Enabler
Read through the school policies, rules, and regulations; once done, you accept and proceed to submit all required documents.
Fill in your personal details and submit the registration.
Once all is done, you are eligible to add your courses or subjects to the registration.
At UJ, once your registration is done, you must use your proof of registration to pick up your student ID card unless you already have one. – Very simple

For first-year undergraduate entry in 2026, UJ’s published registration window was 14 January to 6 February 2026, with online/off-campus registration only. Other student categories may have separate dates, and changes are communicated by the university. Check the official registration notice for your year and programme.
Does NSFAS Pay the Registration Fee At UJ?
Are you looking to apply to UJ to study? Are you wondering if NSFAS can support you financially regarding your fees and other expenses?
NSFAS is the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. It provides funding for eligible students at public universities and TVET colleges, subject to the financial, academic, registration and qualification rules for the relevant year.
The good news is that NSFAS pays registration fees at UJ. The university and NSFAS have built a strong rapport to support students within South Africa. In 2022, NSFAS supported over 14,000 students to enable them to register for their academic year.
Students agreed to the (NSFAS) National Student Financial Aid Scheme bursary and accepted registration fees included in the bursary.
Students whose NSFAS funding is confirmed must follow UJ’s financial-clearance instructions. Funding covers approved costs within the applicable rules and caps; it does not automatically remove every academic or personal expense.
If you paid a registration amount yourself and subsequently receive confirmed funding, ask UJ Student Finance about any credit or refund under the university’s current rules. Do not assume a blanket NSFAS rule makes every registration payment non-refundable.
