TUT Application Status and Prospectus

How Check Tshwane University Application Status

If you have recently applied and need feedback to plan your next move or know what your next steps should be, a great place to start is your application. These three steps detail the process you’ll follow to access your TUT application status and what the updates mean.

Step 1: Visit The TUT Website

To check your TUT application status, visit tut.ac.za. 

Step 2: Navigate To The Application Page

When you’re on the home page, click the burger menu on the top right-hand side of the page (on a desktop) and then scroll to Study At TUT, followed by “I Want To Study”. Once on the “I Want To Study” page, click on “Check your admission status” under Prospective Students. This will take you to a page where you need to enter your ID. If you don’t have an ID, you will need to enter your name, surname, and date of birth. 

You can also go directly to your application status review page by clicking here.

Step 3: View Your Application Status

After you enter your information, you will be redirected to a screen where you will see what your status is.

What Does My TUT Admission Status Mean?

“Application in Process” and “Application without Status” means the university is still reviewing your application. If you have received a follow up from TUT for an interview, audition, or test, your admission requires these results to continue. Keep in mind, the outcome of your admission will rely on your final matric results. 

How To Access The TUT Prospectus

If you’re planning to apply to the Tshwane University of Technology this year, the first thing you should do is get the university’s prospectus. Go to tut.ac.za.

Step 2: Navigate To The I Want To Study Page

On the home page, click the menu, followed by Study at TUT, and I want to study. You will then be redirected to a page where you will find information relevant to prospective students. On the left, under “Prospectus Students”, click on “What Can I Study”.

Step 3: Browse The Online Prospectus

You can read through the prospectus based on what you would like to study. The page also has general information about student rules and fees.
